Alphonso
This Mango (also known as "Hapuz" or "Hafooz") is called the "King of Mangoes" by its proponents. The most sought after Alphonso comes from the Ratnagiri and Devgad regions of India.
Fibreless, extremely fragrant, delicious- everything you did not know even existed in a fruit. Yummy, sensitive and temperamental, it is said that every person in the Alphonso belt has a secret desire to taste at least one Ratnagiri-Devgad Alphonso in a season- otherwise what is life worth living for!!
Its peak season is from mid-April to mid-May.

Chausa
Its name literally means "a sucker". Once you start eating it, all restraint is lost and you find yourself sucking every drop of its heavenly nectar!! Some call it the gift-of-the-Gods.
When a Chausa has been consumed, life is not the same any more- one suddenly realizes the reason for existence. For many it is an out-of-the-body experience whenever they consume a Chausa. Do not be surprised if you are lost in joy for hours afterwards and people do not comprehend the continuous smile on your face. Mango color changes to light yellow on ripening.
The best season for this Mango is between end-July and start-August.

Dussheri
This is the most famous Mango from the Northern Indian sub-continent and is one of the sweetest Mangoes that exist!! The legend of Dussheri is embedded in the folklore and culture of India.
A celebration is incomplete without a serving of Dussehri. If celebration was an image, you could safely replace it with a Dussheri. During Dussheri-season family and friends, young and old, all get together to experience the heat of the sun, the coolness of the wind, the music and joy of the rain, and Dussheri- what an experience!!
The best time for this Mango is during the first two weeks of July.

Kesar
Kesar Mango is one of the sweetest varieties of the mangoes, it is called the “Queen of Mangoes” by some. This mango is generally grown in the Gujarat and Maharashtra regions of India.
Kesar is a larger variety which is hardy and resistant to the vagaries of travel. Tell a Kesar lover that the world will end tomorrow- that is okay. Declare that Kesar will end tomorrow and see the mad rush to stack up! It exhibits none of the temperament and sensitivity of the Alphonso, but is oozing with sweetness and fragrance.
Its peak season is from mid-May to end-June.

Langra
This is one of the most superior varieties of Mango from the Northern Indian sub-continent. It conjures the image of a person whose purpose in life is carefree joy and enjoyment!!
Langra lovers typically live their life for Langra. To them, there are only two states of life: Life-with-Langra and Life-without-Langra!! The long Life-without-Langra is spent eagerly awaiting the Life-with-Langra. The Langra keeps it's greenish tinge during the ripening process. It gives out a sweet ripening smell when ripe and is full of juice and pulp !!
The best time for this Mango is during the last two weeks of July.
