Freako Fresh offers a complete solution for the post harvest management of fresh fruits and vegetables. A considerable amount of the produce is lost due to poor post harvest handling. Our aim is to reduce the wastage of fresh produce in the country and to ensure the reach of fresh, nutritious fruits and vegetables to our customers.
Our Cold Storage facility at village Ajijpur, Haryana is a step forward towards this mission. Cold Storage is a part of better post harvest handling process and contributes significantly towards preventing the deterioration of fresh produce. Storage at optimum conditions slows down the ripening process, prevents microbial contamination and reduces the moisture loss, thus, preventing the phenomena of shriveling, wilting and senescense.
We procure the produce from nearby farmers and store it in the cold rooms within a few hours of harvesting. Thereby, improving the shelf life of produce and maintaining its nutritional value. Some fruits, such as Mangoes, need to undergo some quarantine treatments, such as Hot Water Treatment or Vapour Heat Treatment, for disinfestation. We have these facilities available via outsourcing.
